If America becomes poor, no more production of weapon to kill people

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad, our former prime minister slammed the United States for being the main driving force behind the Israel's atrocities against the Palestinians. Not only that, he also called the citizens all over the globe including the Muslim states to boycott American products and the use of the US currency. In his statement yesterday, he explained how the use of the US currency would killing many people. He said:

"If people stop using the US dollar, the US cannot make any money. It will then be very poor and it will have to stop its production of more and more weapons to kill people. That is how the US uses its money and people who use the dollar are actually contributing towards the manufacture, invention and production of weapons to kill".
He also added : "The best and quickest solution to end the Israel-Palestine war would be for the US to stop supporting Israel."

I agree with Tun in this matter. But don't get me wrong. I am not a big fan of him. But sometimes his opinions, his words are too good to be ignored. His suggestion to boycott products and organizations associated with Israel has open many eyes. Not many leader such Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad who tends "to stand up and speak out" especially when it relates to a hot-button issue like this. However, a suggestion is not enough. And it will be worthless if no further action and implementation is taken. This morning, Malaysia Hari Ini (MHI) has invited Datuk Dr. Ahmad Faiz Abd Hamid the UUM deputy vice chancellor (student affairs and alumni). During the interview, he said there should be a systematic way to boycott the American product for instance by reducing over dependency on the product by supplier. He added, when we see the list of product that we should boycott, we realize the name listed are daily use product; Nescaffe, fast food- KFC etc. Thus, it is not surprise if people does not bother and unwilling to take up the challenge to boycott the product. Too bad.

I remembered 8 months ago when Maydin Supermarket in its own way showed how concern they are to boycott Denmark in response to cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. They did it by putting a label on every dutch product so that the consumer would know.

I wonder will the action remain the same now?

Meanwhile, One million signatures for Palestine- a campaign to condemn the brutality of Israel towards Palestine which launched yesterday by Malaysia-Palestine Friendship and Solidarity Association was one of the medium to show our concern and outrage against the death of innocent Palestinians. I personally agree with this because it is one way to express our feeling. I am only an ordinary citizen, not a millionaire . What i can only do is giving my best concern regarding this issue. I pray to Allah, boycott the product and teach the youngest how cruel Israel, how mean they are towards Muslims and Palestinians. This is also a jihad.

p/s: Sometimes i feel envious with Palestinians. Allah give them such strength and Iman to live even in a hard way. They were not born to live but fighting for a country that they once had. They are dare to die generation. Something that nobody can deny.
